In less than 20 hours we will find out if one of the most influential computer companies of our time will again release another product that will change the face of technology. Apple has been at the forefront of developing and releasing the next big thing and we can see this in both the Ipod and the Iphone. In less than 20 hours we will find out if apple will release a tablet. This has been something which people have been waiting for, a long, long time.
I guess i want to pop in with my two cents and see how they accurate my angle behind the whole apple product will be. First, the Apple tablet has been a long standing rumour as a apple product and has always been on the mind of apple fans and geeks.
Google Trends
Since 2004 google trends shows a significant interest in the the apple tablet. Of course! Why wouldn’t there be? Apple has a been know as the alternative computers, the artistic and creative / graphically orientated and this is why there is such hype about this product. Why hasn’t apple responded to this market? I just seems logical, being branded and used as the main operating system of choice for digital media suites it has a massive cliental market and to the us this seems like guaranteed money.
There is a lot of hype surrounding the apple tablet, we have people for the product and others denying it, photos and prototypes and first to fourth hand accounts. Rumours are just that. Apple is a complex company and all this hype has been interesting to watch. I would like to talk about a few highlights.
First, remember the case of the missing iphone in china that came off the production line, this ended up with the death of the 25 year old employee. Yet we see all these CEO’s and other executives announcing partnerships with Apple and their itablet. Working with such a large and prominent company could this be a cry for recognition or their shot at becoming famous. What we can look back and see is that a huge amount of companies worked and have different parts to do with the iphone. Even Pixar animation studio’s are credited.
Wacom are the industry standard for tablet computer accessories and are seen as cutting edge. Many people want to know if apple will release a product which has the same utilities as a wacom. This is where it is, Apple being the major creative OS and wacom being the computers tool for harnessing this. All previous tablet computers have used this as the concept. Why should we see anything different if it wont answer the call for all the people out there who want a tablet computer made by apple
Luigi Lugmayr sums it up best by saying
“My take on tablet computers is still that they need to do something better than a notebook or netbook. Just to have a tablet is not cutting it. This is why all eyes are on Apple to find out what experience they will create using a Tablet instead of an iPhone or MacBook.”
Hopefully this is what we get. Images of the tablet have surface and the only thing im sure they will have in common with the new tablet is the apple logo. Apples design is easy to apply to a product and specs arnt that hard to create. But i think we will be looking at something which definately looks different than a oversized iphone tablet.
Im looking forward to seeing what apple produces and of course it will be sure to impress.
